Veterinary intern

Our Teaching Hospital

What is a teaching hospital?

A veterinary teaching hospital, much like teaching hospital in human medicine, is a specific kind of facility where the advancement of the medical profession is part of the mission of the hospital. This kind of environment encourages the highest standards of quality and provides access to some of the most up-to-date treatments. At Animal Hospital Specialty Center, multiple staff members are involved in the care of each patient, leading to extremely thorough and complete patient treatment.

So what teaching is happening?

We provide continuing education events for area veterinarians so that our specialists can share both their knowledge and the most current research. This way, Denver's pets can enjoy the latest and best care. Animal Hospital Specialty Center is also one of only three veterinary hospitals in the Denver metropolitan area that runs an approved and proven veterinary internship program as well as welcoming veterinary students as externs.
